Economic and financial analysis of Energy Communities

The GWO, in collaboration with the EC4RURAL project, has elaborated some useful materials for the elaboration of the economic viability plan and for the economic analysis of a renewable energy community in accordance with the existing regulations in Spain at the present time.

These tools were created based on the language and commands of Microsoft’s Excel utility. They consist of several Excel sheets that, integrated in a single workbook, allow to obtain an estimation of the expected economic results and an evaluation of the observed economic results of a community energy initiative.

It is offered in open source, being freely accessible, although with some sheets hidden to ensure that its overall structure cannot be modified and, thus, does not lose its usefulness. Notwithstanding this, any user can send us (observatorio.eolico@uvigo.gal) their considerations for its continuous improvement.

The analytical tools are accompanied by their respective practical guide. They are also freely accessible. Tools and guides are only available in Galician and English. Here is the English version.
