The GWO is organizing a training session on rural energy communities that will take place on 23 November 2023 at the Lecture Hall of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, located within the Lagoas-Marcosende Campus of the University of Vigo.
The aim of this session is to facilitate an understanding of the opportunities that arise in rural areas when local stakeholders (municipalities, citizens, self-employed individuals, social organizations, and professionals, among others) take the lead in the energy transition towards a decentralized, democratic, and ecological system.
More specifically, through concise and dynamic presentations from various contributors from across Spain, the session also intends to:
Showcase collective social dynamics promoting the development of energy communities.
Share legal solutions that accompany the collective management of energy communities.
Introduce technology solutions tailored to rural areas for the advancement of energy communities.
Explore available business models to foster the development of energy communities in rural settings.
Present ongoing diverse initiatives to observe their differences in various dimensions.
The program is currently in progress and will be shared shortly. For further information, please refer to this email. Pre-registration is also available via this form.
